Ugalde construye una imagen por asociación entre la base fotográfica dominante, una chabola gris, marginal que exhibe una pobreza descarnada, y una serie de modelos de publicidad pegadas al lienzo, coloridas, superficiales, que banalizan la escena, que parecen no ser conscientes de cómo la miseria es claramente dominante. Y lo hace impregnando la imagen con su pincel de una sensación de irrealidad, ironizando con una dolce vita en que no somos conscientes ni siquiera de la existencia de la pobreza.
